Linda Skoyles: Curriculum Developer/Training Officer
Linda is knowledgeable and experience facilitator, trainer and designer of curriculum for law enforcement agencies within Ontario. She draws from her former role as police officer of twenty-four (24) years with Windsor Police Service (WPS), and her role as a full-time instructor and curriculum designer at the Ontario Police College (OPC) for 9 years prior to her retirement in January 2024. In both these roles Linda worked as a police trainer, developing ad delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and conducting assessments.
Linda is a certified instructor for numerous police training courses including Facilitating and Assessing Police Learning, Leadership in Police Organizations, Problem-Based Learning, Intimate Partner Violence, and Investigating Offences Against the Elderly population. In addition to Linda’s police-related qualifications, she obtained her Master of Education – Specializing in Adult Education with Honours, which she completed in April 2023.
Linda continues to remain current in changes to legislation and policies including in-depth knowledge of the Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA) and the legislative requirements and changes expected of police governance and police services in Ontario. Linda is excited about the opportunity to work with the OAPSB and utilize her skills and experience to provide governance training for boards across Ontario.
